Michigan death metal act, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, have been in the studio recording their next album. Drum tracking was completed roughly two weeks ago at The Pipeyard Studio in Plymouth, MI. You can hear an audio clip HERE.
Further details have yet to be disclosed, however, TBDM has released a new album every two years (between the months of June through September) dating back to 2003, so it is expected this one will see a late-summer release via Metal Blade Records.
The Black Dahlia Murder is the name taken from the infamous unsolved murder of Hollywood waitress Elizabeth Short. Short, who was posthumously given the nickname “The Black Dahlia” by the local press, was found murdered in a Los Angeles park in January 1947. Her body had been cut in half at the torso, drained of all its blood, and given a Glasgow smile.
