Today TMD is proud to announce its first ever tribute compilation album entitled “333: A Tribute To Brother Dimebag”. The collection of eight original songs written & performed by unknown guitar players from all around the world – who are inspired by Dimebag – and have been hand picked by TMD’s creator, “Rocket”, promises to be as heavy as y’all expect it to be. Nothing but pure intense LOVE for DIME and METAL music will be accepted and expressed.
The release date for “333: A Tribute To Brother Dimebag” is July 4th, 2017 via
THE METAL DEN RECORDS. It will be made available initially in digital format only, although limited run CD’s and vinyl will be offered later via TMD’s exclusive Backstage Pass Fan Club Membership.
“Man, let me first say what a damn honor it is to do something so sacred as produce a ‘Tribute’ album for such a great guitar player and human being as the late great Darrell Abbott of Arlington, Texas in the good ole US of A! He singularly inspired me to create THE METAL DEN back in 2005, right after he was tragically shot on the stage in Dec/2004 by a mentally ill ex-Marine. I never expected for his story to touch me so deeply, for I never actually met him in person. But it has… in a tremendous way. And I want to do anything and everything I can to show him how much he is missed, respected and forever loved. I’m telling y’all right now that several demo tracks have already been cut and my inner circle of peeps are simply going crazy for these PANTERA-inspired songs! It’s time for people working in the rock music industry, including certain online media outlets to stop exploiting Darrell’s memory (the horrid Dimebash, Ride For Dime rip off, not to forget Blabbermouth posting the crime scene photos last year, etc..) and let’s get back to raising a black tooth in unity and R-E-S-P-E-C-T so we in the HEAVY METAL community can forever be STRONGER THAN ALL!”
All mixing and mastering will be handled by “Rocket” at TMD Productions in Fort Worth, Texas USA.
Official album artwork, track list, video teaser, pre-order, and other details will be revealed soon via TMD Records.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Dime’s favority charity Little Kids Rock.
