Oakland, California black metal cult VOID OMNIA today begins their West Coast tour in support of their recently issued Dying Light debut LP. However, the band has adjusted the first date of the tour to take part in a benefit show for the victims of the Ghost Ship warehouse fire catastrophe which took place in their hometown in recent days.
Issues VOID OMNIA on the horrifying situation, “Now, more than ever, is an important time to support the DIY community. The underground is in the spotlight. Our outlets and the avenues we travel with them, are about to be assaulted harder than ever. It’s up to all of us to protect each other and what we hold sacrosanct in the aftermath of this devastating tragedy.”
The benefit show takes place tonight, Wednesday, December 7th, with VOID OMNIA joining fellow acts, undō, Akatharsia, and Yarrow at The Golden Bull in Oakland. More info can be found HERE.
VOID OMNIA’s tour then continues through December 22nd, with shows in Ventura, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tijuana, Phoenix, Prescott, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Denver, Salt Lake City, Boise, Spokane, Seattle, Olympia, Portland, and Eureka.
Formed by current members of Ulthar and Tragic Death, and former members of Apocryphon, Mutilation Rites, Ruine, Tombs, and others, VOID OMNIA has spawned a cosmic, explosive black metal album with the power of a supernova on their Dying Light debut. Presenting a torrent of decimating black metal with searing melodies set ablaze by explosive rhythms and writing with a destructive multifaceted vocal delivery, Dying Light writhes with prime songwriting executed with relentless intensity, delivering a supremely incinerating experience with the blackened arts. The album was recorded at Earhammer Studios with Greg Wilkinson (Necrot, Vastum, Graves At Sea),mastered by Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recording, and fitted with artwork by Glenn Schonn.
