DRAGONFORCE – To Headline ProgPower USA Day 1

ProgPower USA promoters Glenn Harveston, Milton Mendonca and Nathan Block have announced that U.K. power metal act DRAGONFORCE has been named the headline act for Day 1 of ProgPower USA XVII on Wednesday, September 7, 2015. The band joins previously announced Day 1 acts: Lord, Stream of Passion and Spock’s Beard

As for Day 2 (Thursday, September 8, 2016), Pyramaze, Gloryhammer and Circus Maximus were previously announced.

The final headline slot – Glenn Harveston’s pick for Day 2 (Thursday, September 7, 2015) – will be revealed on November 30th. Tickets for Days 1/2 will be available on December 4, 2015.

In 2016, ProgPower USA from the old “Midweek Mayhem” (Wed) and “Kick Off Show” (Thursday) model to the new ProgPower Days 1-4 format with Wednesday (Day 1), a joint promotion of Mendonca/Block, and Thursday (Day 2) showcasing one band picked by each of the promoters along with the “People’s Choice.” All four days will now be held at Center’s Stage’s main venue.

The lineup for Days 3-4 (September 9-10, 2016) was announced the Friday of this past ProgPower USA XVI following Anathema’s performance (see information at this location). When tickets went on sale October 3rd…it sold out in just about nine hours!
