What the hell has happened to the hard rock/heavy metal music industry in recent years? Why are so many of you elite musicians in the most celebrated bands continuously disgracing yourself, the fans and the music itself with your non stop online feuding with former band members? Enough is enough already. Nobody wants to see elderly rockers like Ozzy and Bill Ward going off on one another over the failed Black Sabbath reunion. Have some goddamn respect for yourself, you blowhards. Why would you think that the fans who pay for your records, over priced concert tickets and “Hot Topic’ merchandise want to read this childish crap?
Last year it was all the hatred between KISS and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, including the absolutely horrid treatment of original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. Paul Stanley said “He never liked those guys” and Gene Simmons says “Rock is dead”. No, Gene the only thing that is deceased is your sense of compassion for other humans. Remember when Gene said people who suffer from depression “Should just go ahead and kill themselves”? Real classy, you silly old man. Why would you make such a statement? Why would Paul take such a special time in the band’s history to insult and say such cruel, mean things about such beloved musicians. Sure, you may not like them, Paul, but do you really need to go on and fucking on about that? What is the purpose of trashing people that are no longer in your life? I was a fan of yours and Gene’s until last year and the debacle that went down. Christ, you bitchy old ladies would not even play the stage at RRHOF. Huh? I thought you filthy rich cunts played in a rock band. Well when you allow your own selfish ways to get involved, not even playing for the fans at such an EPIC moment, guess what? You no longer are a rock musician for the people. You are a fake and a fraud, just like you kept going on about RRHOF itself.
2015 marks the 25 year anniversary of MEGADETH’s classic “Rust In Peace” album. The band lost two of its members recently and fans called for the return of Nick Menza and Marty Friedman… despite the fact that everyone knows Dave Mustaine is pretty much the most difficult boss to work for. Dave himself built up a lot of hype around this and actually teased fans with mystery photos in the studio, etc.. of Nick Menza (who has since admitted it was him), only to later let every one down by hiring other people that nobody gives two fucks about! Why? So Dave can keep control over everything and make more money!!!
And then there is the daily bullshit back and forth between Sebastian Bach and his former band SKID ROW. Just when you thought things could not get any more disgraceful… it does get worse. How is that even possible at this point? What good does any of this “He did this to me twenty years ago, and I still hate the fucker for it” shit really do for anyone? Does all this pointless cry baby nonsense achieve anything, other than casting a ‘big light’ on how dysfunctional your life and the rock biz are? Stop it, you whiny babies. Have more respect for yourself than to keep going down that road. I listen to music to get away from family & friends drama, why the hell do you think I want to go online daily to get drowned in one ‘hateful’ press release after another.
Do me a big favor, will you? Find something more important to do with your day, like, I dunno, producing music that really rocks. I’m sure your bank accounts will thank me.
