German power/progressive act WE ARE LEGEND announced that they have added Boris “The Legend” Kellenbenz as the new drummer.
After Heiko Burst (ex-Abraxas) left the band for personal reasons, auditions where held in search for a new drummer to find someone with the same potential in drumming as Heiko. After various sessions with other candidates, Kellenbenz convinced the band after just one rehearsal and became a part of the brotherhood.
Kellenbenz is an experienced rock and metal drummer with an education at the MIM in Vienna. Guitarist Dirk Baur (ex-Coronatus) commented: “With his unique way to play and his amazing groove, he is the perfect addition to our brotherhood and brings us another step forward musically.”
We Are Legend is already booked for festivals, starting in March, where Kellenbenz will make his live debut behind the drums! At the same time the band is working on their follow up to the 2013 debut album “Rise of the Legend”
“The grapes are hanging high,” say Baur, “but we still have something up our sleeve!”
