French black/death metal act BENIGHTED and Montreal progressive death metal act Bookakee have announced a joint Canadian tour. This will be Benighted’s first time touring Canada.
Benighted will be touring in support of 2014’s Carnivore Sublime, released on February 14th via Season Of Mist. The band will also be releasing a new live album, Brutalive The Sick on February 23rd, through Season Of Mist. The CD/DVD live concert was recorded on August 4th, 2014 at the Sylak Open Air Festival, France.
Bookakee released their full-length debut album, Whorrific in 2013. Having played almost 100 shows since 2008 including Montreal’s Heavy MTL Festival, the band gained a lot of attention for their on-stage theatrics. Often hailed as Montreal’s tech death answer to GWAR, they go all out with makeups, costumes, props and horror movie-like sketches.
