Polish tech death metal unit DECAPITATED have announced the title of the band’s upcoming album. The sixth Decapitated album will be entitled Blood Mantra, and is set to be released September 26th via Nuclear Blast.
Three years have passed since the highly praised album Carnival Is Forever was released. Now Decapitated are back – stronger than ever! “Blood Mantra was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok (Poland) under the direction of Wojtek and Slawek Wiesawski. The artwork (seen above) was created by Polish artist, Lukasz Jaszak, who also made the cover of Carnival Is Forever.
Guitarist/founding member Wacaw “Vogg” Kietyka states: “Extreme and groove – I think that’s the best way to describe our new album. This time we feel that we have something totally crushing and huge. Blood Mantra is the most heavy and mature album we ever did in our carrier. I cannot wait to start to play songs live because riffs are soo deep and powerful.”
Total Metal Festival 2014 is scheduled to take place July 19th and 20th in Bitonto, Italy.
“Due to personal problems of lead singer Mark “Barney” Greenway, Napalm Death are forced to abandon their slot at the Total Metal Open Air Festival that, only a few weeks ago, they occupied instead of Death Angel. This time though, the organization of the Italian festival solved promptly with an “ad hoc” replacement, hiring none other than Polish death metal band, Decapitated.
