CHILDREN OF BODOM have been forced to cancel their May 31st show in Quito, Ecuador. The promoter for the gig has issued the following statement:
“We are forced to cancel the concert of Children Of Bodom scheduled for Saturday May 31 in Quito, Ecuador.
The only reason is that Crystal Cable Car Station, a place where we had planned to do the show, despite meeting all the requirements requested by the Fire Department, has a ban for public events issued by the Municipality and Municipality Police. Prohibition was informed to us and other promoters (with events scheduled on the same stage ) and the administration of the place, just a few weeks ago.
We tried to find another place, but the current situation in Quito with respect to space for small concerts is scarce and a concern.
Refund of entries will take place from Tuesday, May 27th at Musicalisimo el Bosque (Quito) and San Marino Shopping (Guayaquil) from 10h00 to 20h00 from Monday to Sunday .
We regret this decision and hope that the new municipal administration meets its offerings in the cultural sphere, as the music unfolds not only in stadiums or arenas.”
