“You Really Got Me” was originally written by Ray Davies and recorded in the studio by THE KINKS in July, 1964. VAN HALEN recorded it for their explosive debut album, Van Halen, released February 10, 1978. It erupted as a popular radio hit which helped kick the young band’s career… into the Rock N Roll stratosphere! To date, Van Halen has sold over ten million copies in the United States alone.
