SLAYER – Tour Dates With LAMB OF GOD & BEHEMOTH





The previously revealed SLAYER North American summer tour with Lamb Of God and Behemoth has now officially been announced and dates/venues confirmed.

“As metal tours go, this is the one that your fellow metal heads will be bragging about if you miss it!” says Slayer’s Kerry King. “Not very often I get to go on tour where we are all friends to start. That being said, the potential for greatness at these events is mind blowing. I look forward to being a part of it, and hanging with old friends – bands as well as fanatical fans! Let the festivities begin!!”

IRON MAIDEN – Add Second Brooklyn Show





The extra date in Brooklyn on July 22nd will be the final chance for IRON MAIDEN fans to witness The Book Of Souls Tour as it’s two year, round-the-world odyssey which began in February 2016 in Florida comes to a close. By which time, the band will have played 117 shows to well over 2 million fans in 36 countries, across six of the seven continents travelling well over 100,000 miles.

Tickets for the North American 26 date June/July second leg of The Books Of Souls Tour went on sale nationally a little over two weeks ago on Friday January 27th and were speedily snapped up by Maiden fans with well over 200,000 tickets being sold across the opening weekend alone...

REX BROWN – Signs With eOne Music





Former PANTERA/DOWN bassist Rex Brown has signed a worldwide deal with eOne Music for the release of his as-yet untitled solo debut. Brown worked on the album with friend Lance Harvill and tracked the lead vocals, rhythm guitars and bass on the outing. Drummer Christopher Williams handled the studio percussion on the effort while producer Caleb Sherman produced the outing. Peter Keyes (Lynyrd Skynyrd) also guests on a few tracks.

Brown said of the outing, which is due later this year:

With the release of new full-length studio record, “Conformicide,” less than two week away, thrash act HAVOK today premiere a new music video for the track “Intention To Deceive”. Check it out HERE.

Meanwhile, Havok continues to tour extensively throughout North American and is currently on the “World Gone Mad” tour with Suicidal Tendencies and Crowbar.

1349 – Signs With Season Of Mist





Norwegian black metal act 1349 have signed with Season of Mist for a new record deal that will see label representation for the band worldwide.

Regarding their signing, the band comments: “We are currently in the early creative stages of our new art offering and we are exited to confirm that we have extended our agreement with partners Season of Mist – this time handling the release worldwide.”

1349 are embarking on a headlining Japanese tour which begins on March 10th. The tour sees the band brining their ferocious black metal across Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, before playing in the UK. A full list of confirmed tour dates can be found below. The Japanese tour dates see 1349 being supported by Norwegian prog pioneers Arcturus.

W.A.S.P. – 2017 Tour Dates Announced





2017 marks 25 years from the original release of W.A.S.P.’s acclaimed album, The Crimson Idol. Recognized worldwide as the band’s landmark recording, W.A.S.P. will commemorate the release of that historic album by performing it in its entirety: Re-Idolized: The Crimson Idol 25th Anniversary World Tour.

The tour will feature the complete album, as well as the three missing songs originally intended to be part of those recordings. The show will be done in two parts, with the first being The Crimson Idol, and part two being a collection of greatest hits.

FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares is currently working on a self-titled solo album, as evidenced by the cover art (seen above) which he recently unveiled.

Currently no song titles have been made available, and it’s unclear as to who is on the album with Dino; information regarding a release date has not yet been announced.
