PILGRIM – Kick Off Short US Tour Tonight

Rhode Island’s doom-doers PILGRIM will kick off a short but punishing run of tour dates tonight with Calgary’s metallic sludgesters Mares Of Thrace and Brooklyn metallic hardcore outfit Primitive Weapons. The festivities will commence in Boston and plunder its way through the Northeastern and Midwest US.

WINTERFYLLETH – New Album Releasing In September

Brooklyn metallic hardcore outfit PRIMITIVE WEAPONS are prepared to embark on their next tour in support of their debut LP The Shadow Gallery. The tour kicks off tomorrow evening in Boston and will pillage its way through the Northeastern and Upper Midwest US states for eleven dates. PRIMITIVE WEAPONS will co-headline the trek with Calgary’s metallic sludgesters Mares Of Thrace and Providence’s doom troupe Pilgrim. CITY OF FIRE – Release New Song Online

City Of Fire – the Vancouver-based hard rock/metal band featuring Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory and Byron Stroud (ex-Strapping Young Lad, ex-Fear Factory) have released a new track from their forthcoming second album, Trial Through Fire.

The track, titled “Deliver Me,” features a stomping triplet groove and lush, ambient production. It’s the second track to be released from album number two: the band released “Bad Motivator” through Metal Hammer magazine in January. Bell is currently committed to Fear Factory but the album is expected to be released this fall or winter in the U.S. The album was partially funded by a campaign on Pledge Music.
