PSYCROPTIC – Release New Single

Australian tech-death unit PSYCROPTIC return with a brand new EP, The Watcher Of All, which is slated for a November 27 release via Prosthetic Records (digital) and Agonia Records (12″ vinyl).

A video (created by Wilson Bambrick) for new single “A Fragile Existence” can be heard above.

Featuring two tracks, the record is designed to “bridge the musical gap” between the band’s 2018 album, As The Kingdom Drowns and their forthcoming full-length, tentatively scheduled to arrive in mid-2021.

BORN OF OSIRIS – Cancel Drive-In Concert

The BORN OF OSIRIS show that had been scheduled to take place tomorrow, October 28 in Chicago, IL has been cancelled due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

The band has issued the following statement:

“This week, Chicago added several new states to the city’s emergency travel order, requiring people traveling from CO, OH, DE, WV & TX to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival. We have both band and crew members that live in those states, which means that this recent news will directly affect our ability to perform our drive-in show that is scheduled for Wednesday. We have to adhere to all laws and safety regulations, so we have no choice but to cancel this show. All tickets will be refunded.

Orange County, California metalcore/alternative metal outfit ATREYU have announced the “Carry the Fire” livestreams. 

The first stream will be a greatest hits set that takes place on Friday, November 20. The second stream will find the band playing 2007’s Lead Sails Paper Anchor in full and takes place on Friday, December 4.

MOONSPELL – To Release New Album In 2021

Portuguese metal band MOONSPELL are slated to drop their new studio album in February 2021. The first single from the disc will be made available in November. The effort, which is described as “dark and revolutionary,” will consist of “around 10 songs, including two instrumentals,” according to the band. In addition, there will be a couple of bonus tracks, among them a cover version of an as-yet-undisclosed song.

MOONSPELL‘s new LP was recorded with producer Jaime Gomez Arellano, who has previously worked with PARADISE LOSTULVER and GHOST, among others.

MOONSPELL recently parted ways with original drummer Miguel “Mike” Gaspar and replaced him with Hugo Ribeiro (no relation to MOONSPELL singer Fernando Ribeiro).
