Tracking will presumably take place this winter and the new record will arrive in spring 2021. For now, a few photos from the band’s latest sessions can be found HERE.

“Steeped in the relatively straightforward, yet viciously corrosive grooves perpetrated by early-’90s bands like Sodom, Unleashed, and Bolt Thrower, Kenosha, Wisconsin’s Jungle Rot deliver a punitive blend of old-school thrash metal, death metal, crossover, and crusty punk. Founded in 1993 — vocalist and guitarist Dave Matrise has been the group’s only constant member — the band made their official debut with 1998’s Pulverizer Records-issued Slaughter the Weak...

FEAR FACTORY – Vocalist Burton C. Bell Quits Band

In the wake of voicing his displeasure for the GoFundMe campaign launched by FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares to ostensibly raise money for production of the group’s forthcoming album, vocalist and co-founder Burton C. Bell has announced his departure from the band.

Bell released the following statement:

“I consider myself a private person, preferring to keep my personal business to myself and trusted loved ones. I make my public statements with thoughtful intent, never deviating from the truth, in spite of the consistent series of dishonest representations and unfounded accusations from past and present band members; a toxic drama I choose to not be part of.

“The past several years have been profoundly agonizing, with these members bleeding my passion with depraved deceit...

METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich recently chatted with Vulture.com about the band’s latest release, “S&M2“. That live outing once again finds the thrash metal legends paired with the San Francisco Symphony and was recorded last fall. It saw a home release this past August.

The discussion also found Ulrich being asked to highlight some key tracks from the band’s catalog, including which song was written the most ‘classically’, which was the hardest to translate to “S&M2” and more. Some of the highlights from that include:

The ‘Geekiest Metallica song for drummers’:

“It’s gotta be around Puppets or Justice...

Vocalist Maurizio Iacono comments: “‘Cut Me Down’ is a melodic, high octane assault, with thrash elements and relentless power, showcasing another angle of our new album, Unconquered, which is released today! The lyrical idea of this song is being surrounded by someone whose sole purpose is betraying and taking advantage of you, I lived with this type of scenario around me many times. Luckily for me, I trust no one. I did however trust Tuomas Saukkonen of Wolfheart to come and give a hand on the song and rip through the chorus with me as a special guest!”

“We made the best of a bad situation, and we ended up writing another album. So we’re gonna be going into the studio this week, actually, and we’re gonna start production on that...
