BYZANTINE – Signs With Metal Blade Records


West Virginian groove metal outfit BYZANTINE has signed a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records. After releasing their music independently over the last three years, the quartet is ready to unleash their sixth, currently untitled album in early 2017 via their new label home.

EYEHATEGOD – Confirms Spring Live Takeovers


Following a short Winter slumber, the New Orleans ear bleeders in EYEHATEGOD are back to flatten stages this Spring with two separate roadside takeovers. The first round will commence with a headlining tour set to kick off April 13th and run through May 3rd. The near-three week march features support from Fight Amp on select dates as well as special shows with Antiseen (April 15th) and Corrosion Of Conformity (April 16th). The band will take a short pause before heading back to the streets from May 29th through June 6th with hard punk icons Discharge with additional support provided by Toxic Holocaust. KILLING JOKE – Release New Music Video


KILLING JOKE have unveiled a new video for “New Cold War”, taken from their latest album Pylon (Spinefarm Records), and announce that they will headline a special show at London O2 Academy Brixton for Friday, November 4th. This special one-off event will take place under The Great Gathering banner, with a carefully selected supporting cast set to be announced in due course.

Tickets for the Brixton show go on sale this Friday, April 1st at this location.

Says guitarist Geordie: “We’re really looking forward to pulling out some surprises for an uplifting new live set!”

Killing Joke are also playing the Bearded Theory Festival in May and the Rockaway Beach Festival in October.

Bay Area thrashers DEATH ANGEL are set to release their new album, The Evil Divide, on May 27th via Nuclear Blast Records. The first single, and the album’s lead track, “The Moth”, is streaming HERE.

KATATONIA – Release New Lyric Video


KATATONIA has revealed the first full track, entitled “Old Heart Falls,” from upcoming new album “The Fall of Hearts.”

The album is due for release on May 2th0 through Peaceville Records and a lyric clip for “Old Heart Falls” – directed by Lasse Hoile – is available HERE.

On the release of the first new song, vocalist Jonas Renkse commented: “A song with lush textures, distinct dynamics and a memorable chorus are the trademarks to some of the most beloved Katatonia songs. ‘Old Heart Falls’ substantiates all of those attributes, but is not by any means defining the album as a whole. ATREYU will celebrate the tenth annivesary of their A Death-Grip On Yesterday album with a spring tour during which the band will play the record in its entirety every night.

Atreyu vocalist Alex Varkatzas comments: “Death-Grip is my favorite ‘older’ Atreyu album. It represents an exciting time and place for myself and my brothers. It’s our most ‘to the point’ record. MOLOKEN – European Headlining Dates


Swedish progressive sludge bringers, MOLOKEN, will kick off a string of tour dates next month in support of their 2015 release All Is Left To See out now via Temple of Torturous. The journey finds MOLOKEN trekking across Europe on a handful of headlining shows as well as six performances opening for Cult Of Luna. Dates begin on April 6th and run through April 16th with an included stop on this year’s edition of Roadburn. This latest run marks the band’s first trip to the United Kingdom and France.
