SATYRICON – Working On New Album

TMD Rocks!

SATYRICON is currently working on new material to follow the previous 2013 self-titled album. The band comments:

“Demo sessions for the new album day two. Really productive day despite having to overcome annoying obstacles. We have always enjoyed getting away during writing and this is the first of many get aways for the new record.

“New stuff is sounding amazing! Our good friend Snorre from Thorns is not involved in the new record, he’s just hanging out making sure the vibe is right. Respect.”

LAMB OF GOD – Premiere New Music Video

LAMB OF GOD have unleashed “Overlord” music video. From Randy: “For years I’ve wished that I could have a movie camera directly linked to my brain so that some of the ideas I see in my mind’s eye could be translated into film for others to watch. Although that is obviously an impossibility (and probably a good thing- I find many things amusing that might not be so funny to everyone else), the video for “Overlord” is the next best thing for me. I came up with the idea and wrote the treatment for this video myself- to see Jorge (the director) take my concept, add his own touches, and use his technical know-how to translate my “mental script” into a suitably dark visual narrative is just an awesome, awesome experience for me...

FUNESTE – Signs With Black Label Productions

Montreal black metal extremists FUNESTE have signed a record deal with Black Element Productions’ brand new label imprint of the same name.

The release, the first for both band and label, is a four-song EP entitled Le Triomphe du Charnier. Drawing inspiration from their own personal experiences, Funeste’s aim was to create music that is as heartfelt as devastating. Although living in the same city, the duo of Léo F. (guitar and programmation) and Yannis P. (guitar, bass, vocals, production), have yet to compose their music together in person, choosing instead to sculpt the songs independently with their own personal influences, experimenting with styles and textures, and ultimately forging their very own conventional, yet uncompromising, sound.
