MEGADETH – Dave Mustaine Meets Willie Nelson


Den Headz, MEGADETH’s Dave Mustaine recently ran into country legend Willie Nelson at a restaurant in Austin, Texas. Mustaine tweeted: “Willie Nelson is in the restaurant I am eating at. I just met him! How cool is this???”

Soon after, Mustaine took to Twitter again to post a photo of him (seen above) talking to Willie about him doing a potential guest appearance on the track “The Blackest Crow”, which will be featured on Megadeth’s new album, “Super Collider”.

No word yet on whether or not the two music outlaws will make this happen for real.

BATTLECROSS – Announces Replacement Drummer


Detroit Thrashers BATTLECROSS announces Kevin Talley will be stepping in to play drums for the band on their two upcoming live performances, the New England Metal & Hardcore Fest (4/19) and the Orion Music & More Festival (6/08-6/09). HAVOK – Premiere New Music Video


Denver thrashers HAVOK have premiered their latest video for the song “From The Cradle To The Grave” from their 2012 EP, The Point Of No Return, via the band’s official Facebook page. The video, directed by Roy Warner, was filmed on location in Detroit during the band’s final tour of 2012 alongside Skeletonwitch. The premiere coincides with the band’s continued work on their anticipated Terry Date produced third full-length album.

MINISTRY – Final Album Details Revealed


MINISTRY will be releasing it’s final album ever. Frontman Al Jourgensen said the band’s 2012 album “Relapse” was going to be the final Ministry album ever. 2007’s “The Last Sucker” was also the final album by Al & Co. but they just keep coming back. Apparently this time it’s the real deal.

During 19 days in December, Ministry wrote and recorded riffs for 18 songs. Then they went their separate ways for Christmas. “This was one of the most creative Ministry tracking sessions ever. The band was on fire!” Jourgensen says. “We were having fun, we were coming up with great ideas and experimenting with everything we’ve ever wanted to do, from Stones-y blues to dub and, of course, heavy guitar-based rock. AUTOPSY – Set To Record New Album


AUTOPSY is set to enter the recording studio next month, as the band enters to lay down the tracks for its upcoming album, The Headless Ritual, due out this year via Peaceville Records. Recording will commence on April 1, 2013 at Fantasy Studios in San Francisco, Calif. with producer Adam Munoz.

Said drummer/vocalist Chris Reifert, “Expect nothing less than the monstrous brutality that Autopsy has been known to offer. EVILE – Reveals New Album Title And Artwork


Huddersfield thrashers EVILE have revealed the album title and artwork for their upcoming fourth album.

The quartet’s new release will be called ‘Skull’ and the brutal album artwork, painted by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom), can be seen above.

The follow up to 2011′s ‘Five Serpent’s Teeth’ saw the band working with producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir) once again at Parlour Studios in Kettering and is set for release on 27 May via Earache.

DEATH ANGEL – To Begin Recording In April


Den Headz, recording sessions for DEATH ANGEL’s new studio album will commence at Audiohammer Studios next month in Sanford, FL. A tentative October release date through Nuclear Blast is being mapped out for the outing.

Jason Suecof (Trivium, Job For A Cowboy) and the bands own Rob Cavestany will be shouldering the production duties on the effort. Of the coming sessions, the latter offered:
