LITA FORD – A Taste Of “Wicked Wonderland”


Pioneering glam metal queen Lita Ford returns to action this fall with “Wicked Wonderland”, a disc slammed to the brim with loud and electrifying songs — songs that will make you fall in love with her all over again!

“Everybody has their own Wicked Wonderland,” adds Lita. “It’s a place where you can do whatever you want and get as freaky as you feel. These songs are my version of that – they’re all about my life…well, the parts that happen when the kids are in bed and my husband and I get into the boudoir.”

CHILDREN OF BODOM – Update From The Road


Finnish melodic thrash metal act CHILDREN OF BODOM has issued the following tour blog:

“In the beginning of the summer we went to Janne’s small studio and recorded a couple of new cover songs for the forthcoming cover album. The songs turned out really good. Especially the slower song, that seemed to be a little hard to arrange. Then we kept on doing the festivals, as planned. Provinssirock, was good, even though we played soooo late. ‘I hate these Finnish mosquitos!’, as our German friend used to say.

Then we went to hot Spain. Zaragoza city is beautiful, but it was very windy. Again we played very late, and the wind just kept getting stronger. We had to really choose our steps carefully on stage, in order not be blown down by that wind. It was surreal...

METALLICA – Participate In Filming Of Upcoming Nimes DVD On July 7th!


The biggest heavy metal band in the world has issued the following update:

“We’re excited to document the upcoming show in Nimes on July 7 and want you to be a part of it! The French record company and are giving you tickets and a chance to participate in the making of the DVD . . . winners will film the show and record a report from there, two minutes of which will appear as an extra in the final release.

The contest is open to residents of France only (sorry!!) and runs through July 2 ending at 11:59 PM. There will be ten winners and you can check out all the details and enter here.

SLAYER – More Details On “World Painted Blood”


Slayer are now looking at a late summer release date for their upcoming new album “World Painted Blood”. The outing was produced by Greg Fidelman (Metallica, Slipknot) and was executive produced by Rick Rubin (Slayer, Metallica). The group recorded 13 tracks during the sessions with eleven of them set to make the album.

Tentative “World Painted Blood” track titles are:

“Beauty Through Order”
“Unit 731”
“Playing With Dolls”
“Public Display Of Dismemberment”
“Psychopathy Red”
“World Painted Blood”

A world tour is being planned in support of the effort this year including the already announced “Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival”, plus Australian, European and Japanese dates. Another North American trek is expected to follow in early 2010.
