MEGADETH – Issues Update On Preparation To Record New Album

TMD Rocks!

"I have received a handful of messages from some conservative people complaining about the sex and drug references in my new music video for 'Flush'; and, I have recently learned that some select retailers are pulling my CD from their shelves because of my music video's content. So, I wanted to give an explanation of what the video means to me; and to address those select retailers that are pulling the CD from their shelves.

Everything the models were doing in the video is what I was wrapped up in while I was addicted to meth. The video is a very realistic look at the addiction and where it will lead you if you get hooked...

 TMD Rocks!

Yngwie's masterful technique, innovation, and flamboyant showmanship has mesmerized listeners since the early 1980s and inspired generations of aspiring guitarists around the world.

Born on June 30, 1963 in Stockholm, Sweden, Yngwie Malmsteen received his first guitar at the age of five from his mother, Rigmor. Yngwie immersed himself in music and spent long hours practicing the songs of Deep Purple. His admiration for Ritchie Blackmore's classically influenced playing led him to absorb the classical structures of such masters as Bach, Vilvaldi, Beethoven and Mozart.

At the age of 15 Yngwie left school for good and f...

TMD Rocks!

Singer Rob Franssen about the musical content of Survival: “We are very happy the way the album turned out. We have invested a lot of time and energy in it and we are very pleased with the result. We feel we have integrated the new vocal sound into our music pretty well and concentrated especially on developing our sound further without losing our usual musical trademarks like heaviness, aggression and groove. We feel this is our best work easily up until now.”

Rob also discusses the lyrical themes of Survival: “We've taken a step further what our critical view on the ruling power structures is concerned, and thus the state of the world of today. We feel it is important to have a voice in times like these where the people are constantly lied to by ruling powers...
